How it works

When the front end of the plunger pin (e.g. a steel ball) is compressed by an external force, it overcomes the spring force and retracts into the housing.
When the external force disappears and the front end reaches a groove or hole, the spring force immediately pushes it out and snaps it into place for positioning.
