Quick Release Pins

MMC
Quick-Release Pins are a common mechanical fastening and positioning component characterized by their ability to achieve rapid connection, positioning, or disassembly without tools. They typically consist of a pin body, a locking ball (or locking ring), a spring, and a handle/button.

-Primary Structure and Principle

Pin Body: Cylindrical in shape, inserted into the hole requiring connection.

Locking Ball/Ring: Located at the end of the pin body, serving to secure the connection.

Spring Mechanism: Forces the locking ball (or ring) outward, anchoring it within the hole.

Handle/Button: When pressed or pulled, releases spring tension, allowing the locking ball to retract for quick removal.

-Advantages

Simple Operation: Requires no additional tools—press to lock, pull to release.

Time-Saving: Ideal for applications involving frequent assembly and disassembly.

Safety and Reliability: Locking mechanism prevents accidental disengagement.

Versatile Application: Suitable for aerospace, machinery, fitness equipment, marine, automotive, and mold fixtures.

-Common Applications

Seat or accessory adjustments in fitness equipment.

Quick assembly/disassembly of aircraft or marine components.

Rapid positioning and securing of tooling fixtures.

Movable connections in industrial machinery components.

Ball Lock Mechanism Operation Principle
Pin Shaft: Inserted into the workpiece hole.
Locking Balls: Small steel balls positioned on both sides of the pin shaft ends.
Internal Spring: Forces the locking balls outward.
Push Button / Plunger: Controls the retraction of locking balls by pressing.
Locking Process
When the pin shaft is inserted into the hole, the push button remains in the released state. The internal spring pushes the steel balls outward against the hole wall.
Once ejected, the steel balls press tightly against the hole wall, forming a mechanical lock.
At this point, the pin cannot be pulled out, achieving a secure fixation.
Releasing Process
Pressing the button causes the internal plunger to move forward.
The plunger pushes the steel ball into the groove of the pin body, causing it to retract and no longer protrude beyond the hole wall.
The pin can then be easily pulled out, enabling quick disassembly.
 Advantages
Quick: Locks or releases with a single press and pull.
Secure: Locked balls resist accidental disengagement.
Durable: Steel balls and hardened pin bodies ensure high strength.
Versatile: Ideal for components requiring frequent assembly/disassembly.
